Eight Start-Up Stereotypes (Infographic)

Last summer, I found myself enthralled by the hilarity of HBO’s Silicon Valley. I tuned in every Sunday to see what would become of my favorite pretend tech start-up. It was funny, a bit crude, a  total caricature of the world I grew up in.  Right? On a trip to San Francisco, I ran into a friend I had grown up with in Boston.  She had moved out there after college and worked in several tech companies in and around the Palo Alto area. The show came up and I jokingly asked “is it really like that?” To my surprise, she replied “oh yeah, you have no idea.” So the zany, exaggerated start-up characters really weren't that far off. If you work at a start-up, you may have even encountered some of them, lets take a closer look:
